Slipped Stitches

A small group of knitters with a range of knitting experiences - from the wise Maple Girl to the careful and fresh faced Sauce, and the full throttle knit or die style of Sly. Enjoy our varied projects and thoughts, and if you don't have anything nice to say...well...you know.

Next Project?

I got my "Yarn Girls Guide to Simple Knits" today in the mail. I am definitely happy with it. There are many simple and nice projects, done on big needles with big wool. Just what I need. I may begin with this sweater. But I've got to get through the vest first, God help me.

Incidentally, I also ordered this book in my Chapters frenzy. I read about it in Bust, and it sounds super cool. All the better for lending.

Neat! Looks like a great knitting book and the sweater is fabulous.

Interesting timing on the yard book as well. I can't believe it, but I've become a bit of a yard nut in spite of myself (so much so that I considered herbicide, despite living on the scenic banks of Junction Creek - I've since decided against it). I find the lawn debate interesting and it seems like thiebook gives a new perspective. Maybe miles of pretty clipped grass isn't as bad as we think it is. Or maybe I'm just easing my guilty conscience. Okay, gotta go whippersnip.

Ooohh...I'm excited to check out your book. More project ideas, ladle it! (hee hee...I've decided that saying "ladle it" is way cooler than saying "bring it")

Blogger The Sauce Says:

OH my gawd. Ladle it?!?! Did you make that up?? I am SO using that. Ser.

Blogger Sly Says:

I can't take credit for it...it was in Toro, but still. I say let's use it like we ladled it.
