Slipped Stitches

A small group of knitters with a range of knitting experiences - from the wise Maple Girl to the careful and fresh faced Sauce, and the full throttle knit or die style of Sly. Enjoy our varied projects and thoughts, and if you don't have anything nice to say...well...you know.

The Sauce's Knitting Natter

Ok, I feel compelled to also do an inventory - and it won't take long.

Since we've started I've finished: one beautiful black and grey Keyhole Scarf and one colorful Striped Hat for Mike that is a bit too small (or his head is too big). Notice my use of adjectives that take the place of other completed projects. Both of these were from Stitch and Bitch. I have also made numerous left mitts, but never right ones.

I've currently started: Alien Invasion Scarf (I'm about 1/3 done) with a knit/purl pattern that makes alien face patterns. I have to really pay attention so it's taking me forever. Grey and Green Striped Sweater (incalculably small amount completed), both from Stitch and Bitch. The sweater is on needles so small they are practically invisible. In the spirit of actually finishing something I've started a Red Poodle Scarf like Sylvia's. I'm about 3 inches in, so hopefully, fingers crossed I can move this up to the completed projects section/paragraph/sentence before the end of 2004 (it is supposed to be a xmas present after all, no pressure).

About to start/bought wool for: Hooded Sweater (Light pink, dark pink with black stripe) from Stitch and Bitch. One a shopping trip to the Big City, I also bought wool for a Grey and White hat, and Brown wool vest. Both of these were patterns from Knitty.com.
